Project Experience

Ottawa River Elementary School --- Toledo, Ohio

Pardo Consultants performed the HVAC design for the new school that is approximately 43,000 sq. ft. This project followed the Ohio School Facility Commission Guidelines and the Toledo Public Schools Standards. This building uses two high efficiency boilers with primary and secondary pumping loops. The cooling system of the building uses a 110 ton air-cooled chiller with ethylene glycol plus primary and secondary pumping chilled water distribution system. There are heat recovery wheels that are used to recover sensible and latent heat from the relief air and toilet exhaust from the building. There was an extreme amount of consideration for the service of these different equipments and careful coordination with the architect and structural engineer.
